The Mount of the Beatitudes in the Holy Land was like a mini paradise. The grounds surrounding the church had beautiful gardens that overlooked the Sea of Galilee from atop a hill. The lake isn’t huge, but the view from up there made it seem like it went on forever.  
  
When I was sketching out the painting for the the Beatitudes, I knew I wanted it to feel like paradise. I wanted it to feel bountiful and heavenly. I wanted it to feel Blessed.
